UW5151_ S Modbus safety communication module provides 4 isolated and mutually isolated RS-485 communication interfaces, supports the ModbusRTU master station protocol, and enables the data of 4 independent third-party intelligent devices (with Modbus communication capabilities) to be directly connected to the UW500/UW500s site Control station; it also supports the ModbusRTU slave station protocol and can be directly connected to the Modbus master station through any set of RS-485 interfaces.

Communication can be achieved by setting the corresponding communication parameters in the configuration software. In terms of hardware, it is composed of functional circuits such as an embedded industrial processor, real-time data memory, redundant control network CNet and its drive unit, 4-way serial communication controller and its isolated RS-485 interface; in terms of software, it is responsible for communication Communication scheduling, network diagnosis, network recovery, register mapping management, etc. between the module and third-party intelligent equipment, and data synchronization with the control module, equipment management, real-time database connection mapping, etc. are realized through the redundant control network CNet.

The RS-485 secure communication protocol is designed in accordance with the IEC 61784-3 black channel rules and implements the basic principles of the IEC 61508 series of standards for safety-related data communication requirements, including possible transmission failures, remedial measures and considerations affecting data integrity;

4-way isolated RS-485 communication interface, the module is completely electrically isolated from external devices;

The communication interface has network failure protection function and ESD protection function to improve the reliability of the communication interface and network;

A single control station is allowed to carry up to 64 slave devices;

The system automatically identifies the module type and enables plug-and-play;

The module has an overcurrent protection function. When the input current of the module is too large due to its own fault, it has its own protection function. When the fault is eliminated, the module returns to normal operation.
